Checkpoint 5

Due: Friday, 7/24 (end of Week 10)

This is the final checkpoint. It does not re-grade your final project (the final project has its own grade). Checkpoint 5 confirms three things in your oim3690 repo: your learning log is complete for the whole semester, your learning-journey.html page is in, and the repo is clean.

Checked by automated structure checks + instructor review. You do not submit anything on Canvas for the checkpoint itself. I check your GitHub repos directly. Your final project is submitted separately on its own Canvas assignment.

Required: weekly logs

  • logs/wk09.md (Week 9 log: what you built, what you learned, AI interactions)
  • logs/wk10.md (Week 10 log)
  • Every earlier log (wk01 through wk08) present and complete. This is the last checkpoint, so it checks your whole log one final time. If an earlier week is missing, get it in now.

Each log needs the four sections filled with real content: what you worked on, what you learned, AI interactions, and questions.

Required: learning journey page

  • learning-journey.html in your oim3690 repo: a single page, built from your weekly logs, that tells your semester story. Assigned 7/20.

What it needs:

  1. Built from your own logs. Point AI at your logs/ folder (or paste the logs in, if you are using a chat-only tool) and ask it to find the arc: what changed week to week, what you struggled with, what you built.
  2. One HTML page named exactly learning-journey.html, at the root of your oim3690 repo. Not a new repo.
  3. Some kind of visual. A timeline, a before and after, a skill map, a chart of what you built each week. Any format, as long as it is not just paragraphs.
  4. Your voice. Edit the parts that do not sound like you. This one is for you to keep.

Build it from the logs you have now, then add Week 10 later in the week so the last week is in it too. No demo required.

Required: oim3690 repo health

  • README.md at the repo root that links to your projects
  • Images kept in an images/ folder and linked with relative paths
  • No spaces in file or folder names. Lowercase, use hyphens

About the final project

Your final project is graded on its own (30% of the course grade) with the final project rubric. Checkpoint 5 does not check the final project repo, so make sure you submit that separately on Canvas by Friday, 7/24.

There is a 48-hour grace period after the deadline (-1 point/day). If you believe your score is incorrect, comment on this Canvas assignment within 48 hours and I will re-check.

This checklist is updated after each class session as new deliverables are assigned. If a Week 9 or Week 10 class exercise assigns a specific file, it will be added here.
